Men’s Prayer Time:  Romans 8:26b:  “For we do not know what we should pray as we ought, but the SPirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.”  This Saturday at 8:00 a.m. is our monthly prayer breakfast. 

Gospel Club:  Please continue to pray for our Gospel Club outreach to the area public schools.  If you would like to help in any way during the school year, please contact Tammy Clark or Mary Farley.

Kids’ Club:  Kids’ Club program meets every Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m. during the school year.  Kids’ Club is a great way for your child to learn the Gospel, Bible verses, and God’s attributes.  If you have any questions about this ministry, please see Mike Kijak.

Thanksgiving Praise Service:  “Praise the LORD!  Sing to the LORD a new song, His praise in the assembly of the godly!” ~ Psalm 149:1   May we, the assembly of the godly, join together to praise the LORD this Thanksgiving season.  Our Thanksgiving Praise Service will be on Tuesday evening, November 25th.  Come prepared to share a word of testimony regarding God’s work in your life.   This service will begin at 7:00 p.m. and will take the place of our normal Wednesday evening service that week.

CBC Turkey Bowl:  Calling all men (7th grade and above), the day after Thanksgiving we will be having our first annual flag Football Turkey Bowl.  Weather permitting, we will gather at the church building on Friday, November 28th at 9:00 a.m.  If you cannot play, but would like some good laughs you are welcome to come as a spectator.

Annual Business Meeting:  On December 3rd we will be having our Annual Business Meeting.  All CBC member should plan to attend as we elect new church officers and adopt next year’s budget.  A coy of the proposed budget is posted on the table in the Fellowship Hall.  The officers upon which we will be voting are: Church Clerk: Amy Cyran; Church Treasurer: James Clark; Deacon: Dave Harman; and Deacon: Lyle Rayburn.

New York Service Trip:  We have a wonderful opportunity to serve the Lord by helping the First Baptist Church in NYC (Pastor Matt Hoskinson) pass out invitations for their Christmas program.  Friday, December 5th is the date planned to travel to New York.  If you are interested in helping, please sign up on the list in the Fellowship Hall.   If you are participating, please bring enough money to pay for your lunch, dinner, gas expense and parking, perhaps subway fare, and a possible visit to a site while there.  See one of the pastors if you have any further questions about this trip.

Christmas Decorating:  “Deck the halls with boughs of holly.”  Join us Saturday, December 6th, as we beautifully decorate our church facility for the Christmas season.  We will being at 10:00 a.m.  Please see Mary Farley or Suzanne New if you are able to help.

 Lessons & Carols:  Mark you calendar now for our annual Christmas celebration in song on Sunday, December 14th.  We will enjoy beautify Christmas music along with scripture passages.  It is not too early to begin inviting friends and relatives to this special Christmas celebration.
